All orders are shipped directly from the manufacturing facility. It will be necessary for you or your representative to be on site at the time of the delivery to help unload the truck. The trucking company will typically call the day before arrival to arrange for a delivery time.
Most shipments are delivered on pallets. The pallets may be broken open to be offloaded by hand or you can use a forklift. Residential deliveries will need to be offloaded by hand unless of course you have a forklift. Depending on the size of your order - we recommend that you have other people to help with you to help unload the truck. The driver is only responsible to get the order to the end of the truck. It is the recipients responsibility to remove it. This only applies to Common Carrier Freight deliveries. It does not apply to any order that can be sent via UPS, or FedEx.
The factory loads the truck with the correct items. Following that, it is the trucking company's responsibility deliver them in good condition. Any shortage or damage must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery. If damage is found after the driver has left, the trucking company must be notified and a claim filed. Make all claims promptly. It is the customer's responsibility to seek reimbursement from the trucking company for any damages or shortages. Idaho Fence will assist you if possible.
The trucking company will provide the appropriate forms for filing a claim.
